These words bring me
comfort wherever I am in life. Fear generally arises when we think we are left
to face impossible situations on our own. To any like this, these words are
most reassuring. This is more than the Lord coming to our aid; it is having Him
with us. Like when Jesus asleep in the boat, we need to realise that when He is
with us we should have no fear. Don't
look at the storm that rages around you, call to mind the Lord's promise. Don't
dwell on the failures others have experienced, see the victory there is for you
in Christ. Fear is unseen but very real: so is the comfort and assurance to be
had by those whose trust is in the Lord's promise to be with us.
